Andrew Gilmour
Technical Director

Co-founder Andrew is an expert in the field of optical low power micro electronics, excelling in both hardware and software design. With over 30 years engineering experience Andrew brings a strong technical focus to The Fire Beam Company's portfolio.

Andrew has been at the forefront of design and development of Optical Beam Smoke Detectors for the past 8 years, working many hours on site to gain the valuable experience he has today to be able to develop a system that can combat the many problems with this type of detector. He is possibly the world's leading authority in Optical Beam Technology.

Some say he has x-ray vision, others say he is from the future, but we only know him as The Professor.
Karl Caddick
Managing and Marketing Director

Fellow co-founder of The Fire Beam Company, Karl has worked in the marketing world for the past 20 years, heading up a number of companies.

Dealing mainly with large multi-national brands on a global basis, his understanding of brand management and product placement has given The Fire Beam a solid and professional footing.

This is the first time Karl has worked within the fire industry, which has allowed him the luxury of viewing the business with a fresh pair of 'wide open' eyes!
Cliff Key
New Business Development

We are pleased to announce that Cliff Key is joining our team at The Fire Beam Company in his role of New Business Development.

Cliff has joined The Fire Beam Company after spending 20 years within the logistics industry in customer facing roles with major national accounts throughout the UK. Upon leaving this sector Cliff has set up and run a successful company within the building industry and also established a sales and distribution enterprise throughout the south of Spain within the drinks industry.

Cliff has been peripherally involved with The Fire Beam since its conception and to now join the team is an exciting challenge. Cliff's natural enthusiasm and business insight will see The Fire Beam brand and business develop within the UK and international markets.
June Ashby
Administration and Director

After spending 22 years in the banking industry this is a big change for June, but is one that should be very enjoyable and interesting. June started out within a small bank and worked her way up to an International Foreign Bank so it shouldn't take her too long to adjust to changes within the Fire Beam structure!

June's banking career provided a great deal of experience in dealing with money transfers, book keeping, reconciliation, etc, as well as handling dealing room activities and foreign exchange areas inside UK banks.

Organising the day-to-day office activities and accounts here is her main job, apart from making a good cup of coffee and buying rather nice buns!
